“Ahnturagen, guardian of Duke Elder, sealed away in Elder's Bastion, has reappeared. Its wings have been dyed with powerful energy from the God of Ruin, making it incredibly difficult to approach this familiar unnoticed. To defeat the powerful Ahnturagen, the lives of other dragons must be sacrificed. Ahnturagen is feared for its successes in battle on behalf of Elder Hakain and glows with an otherworldly red light granted by Scholars warn those who want to tame this familiar that it is imbued with the blood of the God of Ruin and draws power from it. They are extremely dangerous. Taming this beast requires Ahnturagen's mark, which can be obtained at the legendary Elder's Bastion in Akrat.”

Strategy
There aren't any other hostile mobs located around where Ahnturagen is located in the air. Though if you drag him to the platform, to DPS him on the floor instead of in the air, there are some hostile mobs you should take out before dragging it there. It is highly recommended to bring at few people with you to help bring him down to low HP (probably around 10%) since he deals a lot of damage and has a lot of HP. Since he is a high level mount, you should be a couple levels above him to try to get the most amount of taming chance you can possibly get.
How to Tame
In order to tame Ahnturagen you need to lower its health significantly (around 10%) and need an Ahnturagen of Ruin Mark. You can get the recipe for its mark as a drop in Elder's Bastion. You can also get some of the materials from doing quests for Elder's Bastion
