Blue Frost Wyvern is an Elite flying familiar that can be found just south of Hakoora in Parna's Coast, roughly 100m up. It requires 15 taming points and a Chilling Shard to tame, and can be trained to level 35, provided the player is at or above that level. Unlike most other familiars, its Mark cannot be crafted and is instead obtained through a daily quest.

Strategy
Blue Frost Wyverns are grouped fairly closely together, so it may be wise to kite one on the fringes away from the bulk of the group, to reduce the chance of being disturbed by other mobs. Care must be taken not to aggro the nearby Gray Wyrms, either. Otherwise, the Blue Frost Wyvern is a tough but not impossible flying ranged enemy, with two main attacks: a ball of ice, which it can spit at the player, and Ice Storm, a wall of ice that covers a wide arc in front of the beast. Fortunately, it cannot move while charging or using this attack, making it easy to dodge.

How to Tame
Taming a Blue Frost Wyvern requires a Chilling Shard, which can be gained as a quest reward from Cindy for completing the daily quest Silver to the Capital. Chilling Shard is also an ingredient in the Mark used to tame Terror Kerav. A Blue Frost Wyvern also has a chance to appear in the Lair of Ienos and can be tamed using an Ienos Control Stone.

As an Elite familiar, lowering a Blue Frost Wyvern's health is not required to tame it. Like all familiars, being several levels stronger than the mount will make taming it significantly easier.
