“Toxic substances native to Akrat can all be traced back to Corrupted Benotien. Research suggests Benotien's own heart is the source of these toxins. The detestable creature roams the plains tainting all it sees with the rotten aura of its own corruption and hatred. It is one of Akrat's most terrifying creatures not only for the poison it spreads but also for its formidable presence. Capturing Benotien is nearly impossible without suffering the effects of its poisonous aura. Though rumor suggests a mixture of Distilled Poison, Contaminated Emerald and the Tricolor Legendary Essence may improve the odds. A bold tamer might procure the Distilled Poison from Hawston of the Red Revolutionaries.”

Strategy
Corrupted Benotien is very easy to spot from the most of Akrat Plains, as it flies around Abandoned Watchtower and Elder's Bastion. Due to this familiar's amount of defense and health, it is best to attack as a party or raid. It has only one offensive target attack that is easily avoided through strafing. This attack will hurt if it hits you, doing an overall average of 50 thousand damage per hit. Many Riders prefer vertical reset while attempting to tame Benotien. His respawn timer is 24 hours overall.

How to Tame
Benotien requires a mark, as most familiars do. You can get the materials for this mark in Scarlet Harbor, and as a daily mission reward for the dungeon. Alternatively, the mark has a chance to drop from the boss monsters of Scarlet Harbor as well.
