Windrunner is a tamable Elite familiar found in Hakain's Crossing.

Windrunner flies the skies of Hakain's Crossing. He does not sit in one place for long, but has key points (as indicated by green circles on the map) that he will very momentarily pause in his route. It's best to wait at one of these key points to better be able to catch him, rather than flying around trying to find him yourself. Around Verdant Meadows (South) and Elgren Farm areas you can spot him flying at around 59 meters altitude.



Windrunner is a high level and quite powerful familiar, and as he takes very few stops in his route around Hakain's Crossing. He can be tough to find, let alone keep up with, as he moves at a decent pace and never lands. It's recommended that you reach at least level 25 before attempting to engage Windrunner - not only because he might pose a serious danger to you, but also because it is much harder to tame any familiar whose level is higher than yours.

In order to tame Windrunner, the player must obtain a Windrunner Mark recipe from the Elite (Occultist) Khabimist Priests or [Elite] Necromancers in the Cemetery, which is located at Hakanas Highlands, North of the Foothills Camp. Everything where the priests can be found are levels 26-28 and very powerful. It is a very densely populated area, everything is hostile and within close aggro range to each other. Windrunner Mark recipe is a very uncommon drop, so be ready to have to farm the Khabimist priests for a while before seeing one. Alternatively, of course, you can simply look for a mark on the auction or ask your friends or guildmates to craft one.

As Windrunner is Elite, it is best to lower his HP as much as possible before attempting to tame him, to hopefully prevent having to gather the items needed to craft another mark, should you fail.
