Difficulties
The Story mode is the first level that you will have to complete to be able to go to the elite difficulty, and it only has one stage available. Once you enter the Dungeon you will meet the ghost Captain Dave Johnson who guides you through. You will have a cut scene than you will be told to “Smash It All.” What this means is that you need to smash the Ruinous Amplifier that you will find to the left of the screen. After you do that, the captain will tell you “Big gate, small switch. This is child’s Play!” Here you need to go to the room on the left and the right. Once you are in each of the rooms you will need to turn on the switch on the wall. After you have turned the switch on then you will go back to the center room. Here you need to walk thru the gate in front of the berserker summoning device. This will lead you to Audience Chamber. This area holds several more ruinous amplifiers and enemies. Once you get past all of that and you’re walking up to the throne to confront Rondo, you will have another cutscene in which a large hammer wielding knight named Balbora jumps in front of Rondo and promises to make the player “pay in blood” for killing his men. You also see Rondo walk away saying “I’ll leave you to it than” After the cutscene your fight with Balbora will start. Once you defeat him you will than go behind the throne and thru a short hall to the prison staircase. The staircase spirals upwards and is connected to a bunch of (mostly emptied) cell on each floor. Once you reach the third floor you will have a frozen barrier that you will need to knock down. Once you reach the top you will encounter Aisha’s Chamber. Here you will face off with Rondo. Once you get the first Rondo down to about 25 % health he will retreat to the last room. Once you’re in the last room you will get another cutscene, in which it shows the player placing the water mirror down and a beam of light is emitted out towards Rondo. Then you get to have your final battle with him. Once Rondo is defeated a final cutscene triggers, showing the spirit of Aisha appears and takes Rondo with her into the afterlife. At this point the dungeon has been cleared.
The Elite mode is the second level that you will need to complete in order to move on to the Heroic level.
